The new restaurant at the Magic Kingdom doesn't open until Nov. 19 but Disney is giving a first look at the children's menu.
The kids' menu at the Be Our Guest restaurant inside the new Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom won't feature the usual chicken fingers or hamburgers, but will showcase dishes including grilled steak, mahi-mahi and turkey meatloaf.
Disney said the options will allow children to dine like the adults, but the flavors will still be kid-friendly.
"We’re making the ketchup from scratch using carrots," said Walt Disney World Executive Chef Lenny DeGeorge. "And the meatloaf also has vegetables and bulghur wheat, so kids are getting their vegetables and whole grains and don’t even realize it."
The menu includes Mickey Mouse-shaped turkey meatloaf, carved turkey sandwich on multigrain bread with sweet potato wedges instead of fries, pulled pork with sautéed green beans with a sweet potato mash and a mild-flavored mahi-mahi served with a broccoli, cucumber sticks and grape tomato salad.
Parents can still request French fries for their child.
Each meal will come with 1 percent milk, a bottle of water or 100 percent apple juice.
The children will also get to eat dessert like the adults with a fancy cupcake or a cream puff.
Reservations to the restaurant can be made by calling 407-WDW-DINE or by visiting www.disneyworld.com/dine

Those look amazing, and I'd LOVE them, but Little Man is really picky. I'm not sure which of these would tempt him...
