MikeandTheMouse is operated by theme park fanatic, Michael C. Growing up in Michigan, and ultimately moving to Orlando after college, Michael has become an expert on Orlando’s many theme parks and attractions.

Michael will begin production very soon on a special podcast series for MikeandTheMouse. These will feature stories and interviews about all things Disney and how to make the most of your vacation.

In his spare time, when not working on MikeandTheMouse, watching movies or training for yet another marathon, Michael spends as much time in Orlando’s theme parks as possible. A trip to the Magic Kingdom is never complete for Michael without a trip aboard the wildest ride in the wilderness, Big Thunder Mountain. At Epcot, Michael enjoys regular trips aboard Spaceship Earth and sipping on a Cider and Black at the United Kingdom Pavilion in World Showcase and at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll find him on Star Tours, Rock 'n Roller Coaster or singing along at the Beauty and the Beast stage show. Trips to Disney’s Animal Kingdom bring Michael face-to-face with the challenge of Expedition Everest or celebrating with Simba and friends in The Festival of The Lion King. But Michael's love for theme parks doesn’t stop with Walt Disney World. Other favorite attractions include Minion Mayhem at Universal Studios as well as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure and SheiKra at Busch Gardens in Tampa.

Magic Kingdom to open for 24 hours on Memorial Day Weekend

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will kick off a Monstrous Summer by keeping three theme parks open for 24 hours nonstop on Memorial Day Weekend, the traditional start of the family travel season. The three-park all-night party is happening at the Magic Kingdom Park in Florida and Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park in California. The parks will stay open from 6 a.m., May 24 to 6 a.m., May 25, 2013, local time. In Florida, Magic Kingdom Park will feature a “Monsters University” theme where Mike and Sulley will be the Grand Marshals of the “Celebrate a Dream Come True” day parade and make appearances in Tomorrowland. There will be extra entertainment throughout the day and night, including characters in their pajamas in Town Square during the late night and early morning, and late-night dance parties in and around the courtyard of Cinderella Castle.
