New Walt Disney World 2013 Park Maps and Times Guides

The newly redesigned guidemaps are now available in the parks and resorts throughout Walt Disney World. Inspired by the online versions found in the "My Disney Experience" website and apps, the new maps have been completely redesigned with many new features:

Maps are now to scale, which should help with judging relative distances between attractions
Maps are now orientated north to south
Disney's Animal Kingdom map features animal icons to show animal locations
Most merchandise locations are now included

Along with the introduction of the new maps also comes a brand new look to the times guides and Extra Magic Hour guides. Take a look at the photos below to see all the new maps and times guides.

Topiary gardening, the art of fashioning living plan into ornamental shapes, has been practiced for centuries. Found throughout the gardens of the Walt Disney World Resort are hundreds of topiary figures, ranging from traditional hedges and sheared trees to fanciful shapes and a whole menagerie of "chlorophyll" Disney characters. Types of Topiary Four different types of topiary at the Walt Disney World resort have developed out of our desire to put on an award-winning horticultural show. Free-form topiary and standard form topiary require your imagination and some sharp shears - the other two utilize a frame specially suited to their needs. Magic Kingdom to open for 24 hours on Memorial Day Weekend

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will kick off a Monstrous Summer by keeping three theme parks open for 24 hours nonstop on Memorial Day Weekend, the traditional start of the family travel season. The three-park all-night party is happening at the Magic Kingdom Park in Florida and Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park in California. The parks will stay open from 6 a.m., May 24 to 6 a.m., May 25, 2013, local time. In Florida, Magic Kingdom Park will feature a “Monsters University” theme where Mike and Sulley will be the Grand Marshals of the “Celebrate a Dream Come True” day parade and make appearances in Tomorrowland. There will be extra entertainment throughout the day and night, including characters in their pajamas in Town Square during the late night and early morning, and late-night dance parties in and around the courtyard of Cinderella Castle.
