New Fantasyland to feature "D-Zones"

Everything we have seen so far in Storybook Circus tells us that Walt Disney Imagineering have clearly paid a lot of attention to guest behavior in the old Fantasyland, and how things can be made better for the new Fantasyland. So far we have seen the indoor air-conditioned Dumbo queue, FASTPASS for most attractions, shade trees, wider walkways, and lots of wall-seating throughout Storybook Circus.

It seems though that Disney are not quite done yet, and have another trick up their sleeve. The third Big Top in Storybook Circus (the yellow one), along with the new restroom area being built in the former skyway station area, is expected to feature something known as a "D-Zone." These areas are designed to allow people to relax, take a seat, and to have access to things like phone and ECV charging stations.

These new additions, along with everything that Disney builds in as "standard", are going to even greater lengths to take guest comfort and convenience to a higher level.

Magic Kingdom to open for 24 hours on Memorial Day Weekend

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will kick off a Monstrous Summer by keeping three theme parks open for 24 hours nonstop on Memorial Day Weekend, the traditional start of the family travel season. The three-park all-night party is happening at the Magic Kingdom Park in Florida and Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park in California. The parks will stay open from 6 a.m., May 24 to 6 a.m., May 25, 2013, local time. In Florida, Magic Kingdom Park will feature a “Monsters University” theme where Mike and Sulley will be the Grand Marshals of the “Celebrate a Dream Come True” day parade and make appearances in Tomorrowland. There will be extra entertainment throughout the day and night, including characters in their pajamas in Town Square during the late night and early morning, and late-night dance parties in and around the courtyard of Cinderella Castle.
