Disney Parks celebrate Oz The Great and Powerful with new merchandise

It seems the folks over at Disney Parks merchandising never run out of great ideas. That is pretty evident as they get ready to release a new line of products to coincide with the March release of Disney's "Oz The Great and Powerful."

The folks at the Disney Parks Blog had some nice photos of the products that I'd like to share with you today. I definitely have a few of these items on my wish list for sure.

I've always been a Vinylmation fan and these little fellas are a great addition to any collection. Designed by Disney Design Group Artist Ron Cohee, these figures will be available at D-Street at Downtown Disney West Side and Ron will be signing them on Friday, March 8, from 5 pm - 7 pm.

March 8 will also see the release of a commemorative opening day pin in select locations at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts. The pin will have an edition size of 1,000.

The soft lines team will release four new shirts for women and one shirt ("Fragile but Feisty") for girls. I love the Wicked Witch of the West design!

D-Tech on Demand will also release two cases; one for the iPhone 5 and also for the iPhone 4/4S.

By the way, I was able to attend a sneak preview of  Disney's "Oz The Great and Powerful" this past Sunday at Epcot as part of a Disney Parks Blog Meet-Up. It was nice to see hundreds of other fellow Disney and Oz lovers and enjoy a peek at what I think is going to be a big hit for Walt Disney Pictures. I won't give any spoilers but fans of Bruce Campbell will be excited, you'll fall in love with "China Girl" and Mila Kunis will blow you away!

The Art of Topiary Gardening from Walt Disney World Resort

Topiary gardening, the art of fashioning living plan into ornamental shapes, has been practiced for centuries. Found throughout the gardens of the Walt Disney World Resort are hundreds of topiary figures, ranging from traditional hedges and sheared trees to fanciful shapes and a whole menagerie of "chlorophyll" Disney characters. Types of Topiary Four different types of topiary at the Walt Disney World resort have developed out of our desire to put on an award-winning horticultural show. Greetings, fellow Disney enthusiasts! I would like to extend my sincerest apologies for my prolonged absence from the website. Due to recent personal and professional changes, I have had to prioritize certain aspects of my life over my beloved hobby. However, I am determined to turn this passion into something even more significant in the near future. As a result, the website will be undergoing a much-needed redesign within the next month or so.
