Beware of the Disney villains as you set out on your thrilling The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler nighttime run along streets haunted by Disney's most frightening villains and characters! But don't be afraid! There are plenty of "not so scary" thrills for daytime runners in the Disney Happy Haunted 5K Trail Run. And that's just the start of the weekend excitement. runDisney Kids races, a nighttime Disney Villain Hollywood Bash, plenty of on course Disney entertainment, and exclusive access to select rides in Disney's Hollywood Studios make it a towering weekend of fun!

Get set for ten miles of non-stop nighttime chills and thrills on a run that'll bring you straight to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ at Disney's Hollywood Studios. In the dark of night on a path haunted by Disney Villains you'll run a course from Disney's Hollywood Studios traveling to ESPN Wide World of Sports and then back again to Disney's Hollywood Studios. There you'll run past the spectacular Lights, Motors, Action™ Extreme Stunt Show, along the amazing New York Street on the backlot, past Mickey's Sorcerer's Hat at the top of Hollywood Boulevard, and then on to a finish to remember.

Come on out for this fun-filled Disney Happy Haunted 5K Trail Run at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Teens, tweens, and adults are all invited to run this scenic course that winds through the spectacular ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and on to a memorable finish. Plus enjoy Disney entertainment along the course. It's a great way to spend time together with friends and family on a terrific 5K run and earn your very own 5K Finisher Medallion.

Every runner takes home a Finisher Medallion!

Even the tiniest runners get to participate in The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler Weekend. Encourage your youngsters to join the fun and sign up for any of the Kids Dashes or the One Mile run. There's even a Diaper Dash for crawlers! Every child 13 and under who participates goes home a winner with their very own Finisher Medallion! Space is limited.

Parents are allowed to run with their children. The event will follow a rolling start beginning with the 100m dash followed by the 200m, 400m and Diaper Dash. The One Mile will have a separate start location and time. All distances will utilize the same finish location.

Disney Villains Hollywood Bash

Party all night long with the Disney Villains during the Hollywood Bash!
Runners and their guests are invited to party all night long with the Disney Villains at Disney's Hollywood Studios! You'll enjoy exclusive access to some of your favorite Disney attractions including Rock 'n' Roller Coaster® Starring Aerosmith,The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ and Toy Story Mania! Plus there will be live DJs and you'll get to meet your favorite Disney Villains.

Admission to the Disney Villains Hollywood Bash is included in The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror® 10-Miler race registration. Friends and family can purchase Disney Villains Hollywood Bash Tickets. Space is limited and tickets are non-refundable.

PIXAR Place Expansion Coming Soon??

I'm going against everything I believe in when it comes to rumors, specifically DISNEY rumors, but I find this one way too juicy (and likely accurate) to pass up. According to a few reputable WDW fan websites, it seems that the Studio Backlot Tour is poised to close down at Disney's Hollywood Studios. We know that since Oaken's Trading Post and Frozen Funland are moving out of the Soundstage 1 area, work should soon begin on the rumored (and much needed) third track for Toy Story Mania.  Why close the Backlot Tour? It appears that area is destined to be home to a rather extensive PIXAR Place expansion. According to WDW News Today, we will likely see smaller, flat-rides developed for Toy Story Playland at Disneyland Resort in Paris and Toy Story Land at Hong Kong Disneyland including RC Racer, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin, and the Toy Soldier Parachute Drop.
