WDW Annual Pass Conversion Has Begun!

Copyright 2013 Walt Disney Company

Effective immediately, all new and renewal Annual Pass purchases will be issued RF-enabled cards. In addition, between March 20 and May 19, all Passholders may visit the Odyssey Center at Epcot to convert their existing theme park Annual Passes to new RF-enabled cards during regular park hours. (I'm getting mine this weekend!) To do so, they must simply bring their current Pass along with a photo ID. This location does not include the conversion of Passes exclusively for Disney Water Parks or DisneyQuest admission. These Passes can be converted at the water parks or DisneyQuest.

The new Pass cards function like the current paper Passes and Passholders can use them to get FASTPASS tickets from the FASTPASS machines in the theme parks, as well as to obtain Passholder benefits (photo ID still required). For those who choose not to convert their paper ticket, existing Passes will still be accepted as valid forms of park entry, FASTPASS ticket redemption and Passholder benefits.

One more thing: As Disney gets closer to rolling out MyMagic+, Passholders will be among the first Guests to receive information about making FastPass+ selections and personalizing and receiving their free MagicBand. To prepare and get familiar with some elements of MyMagic+ already available, Passholders should download the My Disney Experience app for their iPhone, iPad or Android smartphone.

Greetings, fellow Disney enthusiasts! I would like to extend my sincerest apologies for my prolonged absence from the website. Due to recent personal and professional changes, I have had to prioritize certain aspects of my life over my beloved hobby. During this time, no new updates will be available on the site. However, please feel free to stay up-to-date with any breaking news or updates by following my Twitter or Instagram feeds. I cannot express how much I appreciate your continued support and patience over the years. Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will kick off a Monstrous Summer by keeping three theme parks open for 24 hours nonstop on Memorial Day Weekend, the traditional start of the family travel season. The three-park all-night party is happening at the Magic Kingdom Park in Florida and Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park in California. The parks will stay open from 6 a.m., May 24 to 6 a.m., May 25, 2013, local time. In Florida, Magic Kingdom Park will feature a “Monsters University” theme where Mike and Sulley will be the Grand Marshals of the “Celebrate a Dream Come True” day parade and make appearances in Tomorrowland. There will be extra entertainment throughout the day and night, including characters in their pajamas in Town Square during the late night and early morning, and late-night dance parties in and around the courtyard of Cinderella Castle.
