Free Blizzard Beach water park admission, drinks, and giveaways offered to Walt Disney World annual passholders in May

Walt Disney World is offering all of its annual passholders a new perk that includes an afternoon of fun in the sun with a few bonus treats.

All passholders are invited to enjoy Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park for free after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9 and Thursday, May 16, 2013.

In addition to complementary admission, passholders can also receive free refreshments and giveaways at Lottawatta Lodge.

No RSVP is needed for admission, only a valid Walt Disney World annual pass. Admission to Blizzard Beach is normally included with the Premium and Premier passes. This special two-day offer extends that free admission to standard annual passes, Seasonal, and Weekday Select.

Of course, any time the word “free” is involved, large crowds follow, so expect the same here. On both dates, Blizzard Beach is only open until 5 p.m., with Lottawatta Lodge scheduled to be open only until 4 p.m., leaving limited time to enjoy the extra perks. But it should be enough to get at least one drop in at Summit Plummet or ride the lazy river as a nice end to a work day.

  1. What a great way for WDW to show APs Blizzard Beach! I have never been to Blizzard Beach and have been a AP for 3yrs now. Even growing up in FL I never went to either of the Disney water parks. We're planning to be in FL Memorial Day wknd so the two days this special offer is valid we cannot attend, bummer.

    1. It is a great gesture on their part. WDW gets so much flack for not "giving back" but I am of the opinion that they do so much more than people realize; especially for charity. As far as BB goes, I'm more of a Typhoon guy myself, but Blizzard is a very close 2nd! Thanks for reading and taking the time to post a comment!

The Art of Topiary Gardening from Walt Disney World Resort

Topiary gardening, the art of fashioning living plan into ornamental shapes, has been practiced for centuries. Types of Topiary Four different types of topiary at the Walt Disney World resort have developed out of our desire to put on an award-winning horticultural show. Free-form topiary and standard form topiary require your imagination and some sharp shears - the other two utilize a frame specially suited to their needs. A lightweight frame is used for shrub topiary, while sphagnum topiary require a much stronger frame specially designed to support the weight of the figure. Standard Form Topiary The world standard is used to describe a plant that is grown to a designated height and then encouraged to bush or form a "head" at t...
