Lots of Disney News!

More MyMagic+
Epcot's International Gateway is now being equipped with RFID MyMagic+ 'Touch to Enter' turnstiles.
The second entrance at Epcot is the only park entry that does not support the new RFID 'Touch to Enter' tickets that are now in wide circulation.

Construction walls are up, and it looks as though at least half of the current turnstiles will be converted in this first phase.

FASTPASS NEWS
Disney will be conducting a test of FASTPASS at Fantasmic! next week, April 22 to April 27, 2013.

FASTPASS tickets will be available at the tip board area from midday. Holding a FASTPASS for Fantasmic! will not prevent a guest from obtaining another FASTPASS for another attraction. It is widely expected that Fantasmic! will be included in the MyMagic+ FASTPASS+ program, so this test would seem to be part of that roll-out.

NEW BREW
Joffrey's Coffee is now appearing at some quick service restaurants as the roll-out of the new coffee begins this week at Walt Disney World.

Under the new agreement, Joffrey's will be the official coffee of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, and will offer fresh-brewed coffee throughout Disney owned and operated locations.

OPERATIONAL UPDATES - Disney's Animal Kingdom
Please, be aware that DinoLand U.S.A. will close at 6 p.m. (one hour before the rest of the park) on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. The entire area will close early due to convention activity. The regular park closing time is 7 p.m.

OPERATIONAL UPDATES - Magic Kingdom Park
Take note that on two consecutive days (Sunday, April 21 and Monday, April 22, 2013), the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade will step-off from Frontierland and will end on Main Street, U.S.A. (the reasons behind this change are unavailable at this time). Regularly, the parade route starts from Main Street U.S.A. and ends in Frontierland. All should be reverted back to normal on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.

The Art of Topiary Gardening from Walt Disney World Resort

Topiary gardening, the art of fashioning living plan into ornamental shapes, has been practiced for centuries. Found throughout the gardens of the Walt Disney World Resort are hundreds of topiary figures, ranging from traditional hedges and sheared trees to fanciful shapes and a whole menagerie of "chlorophyll" Disney characters. Types of Topiary Four different types of topiary at the Walt Disney World resort have developed out of our desire to put on an award-winning horticultural show. Free-form topiary and standard form topiary require your imagination and some sharp shears - the other two utilize a frame specially suited to their needs. A lightweight frame is used for shrub topiary, while sphagnum topiary require a much stronger frame specially designed to support the weight of the figure. Standard Form Topiary The world standard is used to describe a plant that is grown to a designated height and then encouraged to bush or form a "head" at t...

"We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths". - Walt Disney

Greetings, fellow Disney enthusiasts! I would like to extend my sincerest apologies for my prolonged absence from the website. Due to recent personal and professional changes, I have had to prioritize certain aspects of my life over my beloved hobby. However, I am determined to turn this passion into something even more significant in the near future. As a result, the website will be undergoing a much-needed redesign within the next month or so. During this time, no new updates will be available on the site. However, please feel free to stay up-to-date with any breaking news or updates by following my Twitter or Instagram feeds. I cannot express how much I appreciate your continued support and patience over the years. Together, we have come so far, and I assure you that the new design will provide the latest information and easier navigation. Thank you once again for your unwavering support and love.
