"Frozen" is still hot. Disney World will extend its summerlong celebration of the animated film at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park by almost four weeks.
The Frozen Summer Fun Live events will continue through Sept. 28, Disney says. They were originally scheduled to end on Sept. 1. Most of the elements from this summer will continue, although the schedule for the "Frozen"-themed fireworks will change. After Sept. 1, the pyrotechnics will be presented only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Sept. 28.
The "Frozen" fireworks also will not be seen on Aug. 23, the evening that a special Villains Unleashed event will be held at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Other "Frozen" events during this time will include:
- A daily processional at 11 a.m., featuring heroines, Anna and Elsa, plus mountain main Kristoff.
- Multiple rounds of a 30-minute singalong, called “For The First Time in Forever: A ‘Frozen’ Sing-Along Celebration,” at the park's Premier Theater.
- Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post & Frozen Funland, which includes an ice rink (skate at an additional charge), snow-related activities and special retail options. These offerings are in the park's Soundstage One, which is near the Toy Story Mania ride.
- A live band and DJ will headline a daily dance party for guests.
Meet-and-greet opportunites with "Frozen" princesses Anna and Elsa will continue at Magic Kingdom.
