The 2017 Pro Bowl presented by Aquafina in Orlando, Fla. is much more than a game on Sunday; it’s a week-long celebration that unites and inspires the entire football community. In the week leading up to the game, the NFL will host events that will bring interactive fan experiences, youth and high school football competitions and a spirit of community to Orlando. Pro Bowl Week activities include: The NFL FLAG Championships and Punt, Pass and Kick National Championships Pro Bowl Skills Showdown Free access to AFC and NFC team practices NFL Pro Bowl Experience, a free, football-themed fan festival NFL PLAY 60 activities A series of community events with local nonprofit organizations and military personnel. Combining visual, culinary and performing arts from around the world, the first-ever Epcot International Festival of the Arts will create a global masterpiece for six inspired weekends. Held Fridays through Mondays starting Jan. 13 – Feb. 20, 2017, the Festival will feature new art each week, making each weekend original. Here’s a sample of what’s in store: From the pieces of Disney historical artist Mary Blair and Herb Ryman art of Epcot, to current Disney artists Joe Kaminski and Costa Alavezos, guests won’t only be surrounded by incredible visions, they’ll watch the creative process live. Talk about overcoming the greatest of odds... Adam Gorlitsky, (Charleston, S.C.) took part in the Walt Disney World 5K on Thursday despite being paralyzed from the waist down. With a throng of spectators cheering him on along the way, Gorlitsky, 30, participated in a portion of the 5K with the use of a robotic suit that enables him to stand and walk. Gorlitsky lost his mobility 10 years ago when his spine was severed at the T9 level in a car accident. He was told by doctors that he would never walk again. But his prospects changed dramatically in recent years when he was chosen as a candidate for the wearable exoskeleton machine that allowed him to stand and walk again for the first time since the accident. Since April 2016, he has walked in a few races using the suit, challenging what it means to be a paraplegic. Following a festive kick-off to the holidays that began Thanksgiving Day with two new broadcast specials, Disney Parks will close out 2016 with its most cherished seasonal tradition of all – the annual Christmas Day spectacular. “The Disney Parks’ Magical Christmas Celebration” airs Sunday, December 25, 2016, on the ABC Television Network (10a.m. – 12 p.m. ET; airtimes vary; check local listings) and on the ABC and the Disney Channel apps. Disney has recently updated its iOS "My Disney Experience" application to include some neat PhotoPass editing features that have only been available online. You can now add stickers, filters, borders and crop to purchased images, which can then be saved to your device camera roll for printing or social media sharing. Another part of the app update is enhanced attraction wait time information, which uses your phone's location services and Bluetooth to improve performance. Note that these edits and saves can only be done if you have purchased the Memory Maker or have an Annual Pass that has PhotoPass entitlements. They have also fixed bugs and improved overall app performance as well as reducing the number of times you have to log-in. The update is available now for iOS devices.

To celebrate the upcoming release of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” the iconic Spaceship Earth at Walt Disney World Resort transforms into the dreaded Death Star from Star Wars. The spectacular moment took place Dec. 5, 2016, and included the announcement of new Star Wars experiences coming to Walt Disney World this month and throughout 2017. Mads Mikkelsen, who plays Galen Erso in “Rogue One,” made a jump to hyperspace, arriving just in time for the special event.
